Quarles & Brady to participate in program to increase diversity of firm leadership

Listen to this article

Quarles & Brady will participate in a certification process designed to increase the diversity of firm leadership.

The firm is starting the Mansfield Rule 5.0 certification process on July 15. The program helps participating firms increase representation of diverse attorneys in their management committees.

To receive Mansfield Rule 5.0 certification, firms must track and measure that they have considered at least 30% women lawyers, lawyers from underrepresented racial and ethnic groups, lawyers with disabilities and LGBTQ+ lawyers for top leadership roles, senior-level lateral hiring, equity partnership and participation in client meetings.

Mike Aldana, managing partner of Quarles & Brady, said the firm is intent on continuing to build a welcoming, inclusive and collaborative culture that will attract and retain high-performing attorneys and staff. He sees the Mansfield Rule certification as playing an important role in achieving that goal.

Quarles & Brady employs about 475 lawyers at 10 U.S. offices, including those in Milwaukee and Madison.
