A Wisconsin man could spend 30 years in prison for selling stolen Kohl’s Cash on Twitter. Robert Gordon pleaded guilty to two federal counts related to fraud last week.
The Eastern District of Wisconsin Attorney’s office said Gordon acknowledged that he was selling stolen Kohl’s Cash coupons for almost a year, starting in June 2018. He used his Twitter account, @OfficialJigLord, to sell the coupons. He wrote in a plea agreement that he obtained the coupons through a credential-stuffing campaign, which uses a computer program to run stolen usernames and passwords.
Gordon could spend up to 20 years in prison for wire fraud and up to 10 years for trafficking access devices. Each count also carries a maximum fine of $250,000. Gordon’s sentencing hearing is set for January 2020.
