Second Wisconsin DA opening announced Monday

Sauk County is looking for its next district attorney. This position is the second DA opening Gov. Tony Evers announced on Monday.

The new appointee will fill a vacancy that will open up when district attorney Kevin Calkins resigns, which is scheduled to happen on Oct. 14. The person taking his position will serve out the remainder of his term, which ends January 2021.

Gov. Evers had also announced on Monday morning that there’s an opening for the DA position in Clark County. Anyone interested in applying for either position should submit a completed application form and supporting materials to govDAapp@wisconsin.gov by Oct. 14.
