A $65,000 settlement was reached in a slip-and-fall case in La Crosse County in March.

Harriet Matiak was walking through the lobby of a hotel in La Crosse on July 23, 2016, when she slipped and fell. The floor had recently been mopped.

The defense showed a video showing that two “wet floor” signs had been placed in the hotel lobby.

Settlement amount: $65,000

Special damages: $45,919.18
