Brandon Derry joined the team at Hupy and Abraham in 2007 and has since shown himself to be an invaluable part of the firm’s day-to-day operations.

He now runs its Madison office and provides a daily example of what it means to bring a good attitude and professionalism to work every day.

“I really enjoy my job because I get to help members of my community in a time of need,” Derry said. “My clients’ lives have been turned upside down as a result of sustaining significant injuries, and they come to me stressed, frustrated and in desperate need of assistance. Seeing the weight lifted off their shoulders when they learn all that I can do for them and the gratification they project knowing someone is protecting them is very rewarding.”

When Derry joined Hupy and Abraham he brought a wealth of expertise and several years of experience in defense work. In 2012, after working for the firm for only five years, he was promoted to shareholder.

He has since shown his commitment to clients through his remarkable work as a trial lawyer. He has been recognized by several legal organizations for his dedication, having been placed on the National Trial Lawyers Top 100 list in each of the past four years, as well as finding a place on the Wisconsin Rising Stars list five times.

Off the clock, Derry works with local charities and takes part in benefit motorcycle rides and events in Wisconsin, Iowa and Minnesota. He is an avid Harley-Davidson rider and automotive aficionado and has raced stock cars and attended motor sports events across the country since he was a child.

“Attorney Derry shows his conviction to maintain a high level of service and (expertise) in the law, day after day,” Hupy and Abraham Communications Specialist Irene Sarumi wrote in her nomination form. “His talent, drive and hard work absolutely deserves to be recognized after his many years of service, and what is presumably going to continue for several more.”
