A Thiensville law firm recently changed its name and got a new owner.

The estate-planning and business law firm Willms SC changed its name to Willms-O’Leary SC on Jan. 1.

The firm, which Andrew Willms founded in 1990, is at 414 N. Main Street in Thiensville.

The name change coincides with the lawyer Maureen O’Leary’s acquiring Willms’ ownership interest in the firm and becoming CEO and president of the firm. Willms will remain with the firm as of counsel.

O’Leary has worked at the firm since 2008, which is the same year she graduated from Marquette University Law School. Before law school, O’Leary was a shareholder and operations manager for Swimtastic Corp., according to her law firm’s website.
