DeWitt promotes 3 attorneys

DeWitt recently announced that it has appointed Chase Horne, Julie Nagorski and Raluca Vais-Ottosen to partner.

Horne, who works in the firm’s Madison office, practices litigation and environmental law. He also counsels business clients regarding employment issues.

Nagorski, who works out of DeWitt’s Minneapolis office, is a litigator who focuses on real property and construction disputes.

Vais-Ottosen, who also works in the firm’s Madison office, is an immigration lawyer with experience in employment law.

Michael Best Strategies adds principal

Michael Best Strategies, the lobbying arm of Michael Best & Friedrich, recently announced that Brian Taffora has joined the firm as a principal in its Wisconsin office.

He will provide strategic guidance to clients on a variety of public policy, government relations, regulatory and legislative matters.

Taffora is on the transition team for Wisconsin Gov.-elect Tony Evers and was previously a managing director at CSA Partners in Milwaukee, where he managed a venture capital fund for tech startups. He is the co-founder of Ward4, a co-working space in Milwaukee.

Taffora was also previously the director of economic development at the Office of the Milwaukee County Executive and the executive director and vice president of government affairs for the Wisconsin Business Council.
