Mediation center to offer training in family-law mediation

The Milwaukee-based Family Mediation Center will be offering a spring mediation training session on family law.

Experienced Wisconsin mediators will walk participants through an interdisciplinary approach to mediation. The topics discussed will include practical knowledge, ethics and neutral drafting.

The training, which is open to all professionals who do divorce work, will be last from May 2 to 3 and May 16 to 17 at the University Club of Milwaukee, 924 E. Wells St.

The training session will be worth 30 continuing-legal-education credits, including 3 ethics credits. The cost is $1,095 before March 1. After March 1, the cost will be $1,295. For employees of nonprofit organizations, students or government employees, the training costs $695.
