OSHKOSH, Wis. (AP) — A former daycare worker at the Oshkosh YMCA is charged with sexually assaulting a 3-year-old girl.

Seventy-five-year-old B.T. Adams was charged Thursday with two counts of first-degree sexual assault of a child under 13, and one count of conspiracy to sexually assault a child. All of the counts involve the same child.
WLUK-TV reports Adams’ initial court appearance was rescheduled for Friday because his attorney could not be present.

Oshkosh Police Chief Dean Smith told reporters on Thursday that since Adams was arrested last week, police have received 17 reports about him from concerned parents.

The YMCA fired Adams after the investigation started. Adams also had played Santa Claus at the facility.
The president and CEO of the Oshkosh Community YMCA, Tom Blaze, says the organization is cooperating with investigators.
