Marquette University Law School will be the host of the 2018 Restorative Justice Initiative Conference.

This year’s theme is “The Power of Restorative Justice in Healing Trauma in Our Community,” and the conference will take place on Friday at the Lubar Center at Marquette University Law School’s Eckstein Hall, 1215 W. Michigan St.

A registration site for the event’s waiting list can be found online.

The film “Torn by Trauma: Restoring Community One Life at a Time” will be released at the conference. Panel discussions with comments and reflections will follow.

The retired Marquette law professor and former Supreme Court Justice Janine Geske organized the conference. She established the law school’s Restorative Justice Initiative in 2004.
