A committee has released revised federal criminal jury instructions to be used in the district courts that feed into the U.S. 7th Circuit Court of Appeals.

The Committee on Federal Jury Instructions of the 7th Circuit announced on Thursday that it had released the revisions.

The new instructions are the product of three years of work by the judges, defense attorneys and academics on the committee, which was led by Judge Bill Bauer.

The Judicial Conference authorized revisions, which can be found here.

Pattern instructions for 18 U.S.C. 1591 have been removed; new proposed instructions will be posted for public comment.
