Walker taps longtime criminal defense lawyer for Buffalo County DA

Gov. Scott Walker has appointed a long-time Osseo criminal defense attorney to the top prosecutor spot in Buffalo County.

Walker announced last week that Thomas Bilski will fill a spot left vacant by Buffalo County District Attorney Thomas Clark, who was recently elected to be a judge.

Bilski, who earned his law degree from St. Paul-based William Mitchell College of Law in 1989, has primarily practiced criminal defense for the last 29 years at his firm, Bilski & Associates, out of Osseo. He is also a court commissioner for Trempealeau County.

  1. Guys, I don’t get it, please explain. This is in no way a comment on the qualifications of Thomas Bilski to be a prosecutor. But if some of you think Matt Flynn should drop out of the race for governor because he represented a church, how can we appoint a criminal defense lawyer who has represented, not a church, but probably alleged robbers, rapists and murders to be a prosecutor?
