Gov. Scott Walker announced on Friday that he is seeking applicants for an appointment to Buffalo County district attorney’s position.
Whoever Walker appoints would fill the seat of Buffalo County District Attorney Thomas Clark, who plans to resign on July 31. The appointee would serve out the rest of Clark’s term. The seat is up for election in November 2020.
Those interested must submit a cover letter, resume, three to four references and a district attorney application by 5 p.m. May 18.
Applicants with questions about the appointment process should email govdistrictattorney@wisconsin.gov or call Kate Wiedel at 608-266-1212.
