Walker seeking applicants for Barron County DA

Gov. Scott Walker is looking for candidates to fill the top prosecutor spot in Barron County.

The appointee would fill a vacancy resulting from the resignation of Barron County District Attorney Angela Beranke. Her resignation is effective March 2. The position is up for election in November 2020.

Applicants must submit, by 5 p.m. on Feb. 12, these things: a cover letter, short resume, a list of three to four references and an application that can be found on www.walker.wi.gov.

Applicants with questions about the appointment process should email them to govdistrictattorney@wisconsin.gov. To speak with someone immediately, call Kate Wiedel at 608-266-1212.
