Husch Blackwell launches new lobbying arm

Husch Blackwell announced on Tuesday that it has teamed with two other firms to set up a joint venture.

The joint venture, Husch Blackwell Strategies, will operate out of Jefferson City, Mo., and provide federal and state legislative government-affairs consulting and lobbying. The venture combines most of Husch Blackwell’s government affairs team with the operations of the Jefferson City-based Statehouse Strategies and Washington D.C.-based Cloakroom Advisors.

Kyle Gilster, a partner at Husch Blackwell, will be Husch Blackwell Strategies’ general counsel and other Husch Blackwell government-affairs consultants and attorneys will join the venture.
