MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Democrat Josh Kaul’s campaign says he has raised about $429,000 since he entered the attorney general’s race.
Kaul’s campaign issued a news release Monday saying he raised slightly more than $429,000 since his campaign began in April. He raised more than half of his funds — $255,000 — during the second half of 2017.
He plans to report more than $280,000 on hand when campaign finance reports are due to the state Ethics Commission on Tuesday.
Republican Attorney General Brad Schimel’s state spokesman referred a request for Schimel’s numbers to the state Republican Party. Party spokesman Alec Zimmerman said he didn’t have any information yet.
Schimel’s most recent campaign finance report shows he raised $298,000 during the first half of 2017 and had $381,000 on hand as of June 30.
