OLR to host trust account training Oct. 6

The Office of Lawyer Regulation is holding a seminar on trust-account in October.

The seminar take place from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Oct. 6 at the Symposium Room at the Comfort Inn, 4822 E. Washington Ave., Madison. It will cost $50. The deadline for registration is Monday.

The seminar counts as four hours of continuing legal education or ethics and professional-responsibility education. The covered will include electronic banking, record keeping, lawyers as fiduciaries, and handling fees and costs will be covered.

The presenters will include: Mary Hoeft Smith, OLR trust account program administrator; the attorney Edward Hannan of Hannan Legal; the attorney and former State Bar president Diane Diehl; and Mary Gilmeister, president of the Wisconsin ACH Association.
