International law expert to give lecture at Marquette

A Vanderbilt University law professor and international law expert will be giving a presentation at Marquette University Law School.

Ingrid Wuerth, the Helen Strong Curry Chair in International Law at Vanderbilt University, will give a talk titled “International law and peace among nations” at 4:30 p.m. Sept. 14 in the Lubar Center in Eckstein Hall, 1215 W. Michigan St., Milwaukee , as part of Marquette University Law School’s Boden Lecture.

The event is open to members of the general public at no cost; registration is required and is available online.

Wuerth is a leading scholar of foreign affairs and public international law. She is a member of the board of editors of the American Journal of International Law and of the Lawfare blog and is the reporter for the Restatement (Fourth) of the Foreign Relations Law of the United States.

The annual lecture honors Robert Boden, Marquette University Law School’s dean from 1965 to 1984.
