Gov. Scott Walker has appointed an assistant attorney general to fill a spot on the Dane County Circuit Court.
Walker announced Monday that he had tapped Timothy Samuelson to take the place of Judge John Markson, who is retiring.
Samuelson has been an assistant attorney general since 2012, working in the Medicaid Fraud and Elder Abuse Unit and Special Litigation and Appeals Unit. Before working for the state Department of Justice, he was at the Chicago-based law firms Schopf & Weiss and Iwan Cray Huber Horstman & VanAusdal.
Samuelson earned his law degree from the Maurer School of Law at Indiana University Bloomington in 1998.
