Applications wanted for spot on Rock County bench

Gov. Scott Walker is seeking applicants for a seat on the Rock County Circuit Court.

The appointee will replace Judge Michael Fitzpatrick, who is leaving the post starting Aug. 1 to fill a seat on the Wisconsin Court of Appeals. Fitzpatrick ran unopposed for the appeals court position in the April election.

The appointee will have the option of running for election in 2018.

Those interested must submit a cover letter, resume, two writing samples and a judicial application by 5 p.m. May 19.
