Applicants sought for spot on Milwaukee County bench

Gov. Scott Walker is looking for applicants to fill a spot on the Milwaukee County Circuit Court.

The governor is seeking to find a successor to Milwaukee County Circuit Court Judge Dennis Moroney, whose resignation is effective June 22.

The position is up for election in April 2018, and whoever Walker picks will eventually have to choose whether to run in that election.

Applicants must submit a cover letter, resume, two writing samples and a judicial application, which can be found on Walker’s website: www.walker.wi.gov.

The submissions are due at 5 p.m. March 31.
