Walker taps prosecutor, municipal attorney for spot on Racine County bench

Gov. Scott Walker has appointed an assistant district attorney to fill a spot on the Racine County Circuit Court bench.

Walker has chosen Racine County prosecutor Robert Repischak to replace Racine County Circuit Court Judge Allan Torhorst, according to a news release.

Repischak has been an assistant DA in Racine County since 1998 and has also been a municipal attorney for the town of Norway since 1999 and the town of Dover since 2015.

Before that, he had worked in private practice in Waterford, representing individuals, small businesses and municipalities starting in 1992.

Repischak earned his law degree from Hamline University School of Law in 1990 and was admitted to practice in Wisconsin the same year. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.

Repischak lives in Waterford with his wife and two daughters.
