RACINE, Wis. (AP) — Homicide charges have been filed in Racine County against a man accused of killing a father and daughter in a drunken driving crash.
Twenty-five-year-old Levi Ruohonen, of Racine, was charged Monday with two counts of homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle in the deaths of 39-year-old Kevin Dalley and 9-year-old Emily Dalley. Ruohonen is accused of speeding in his pickup truck while drunk and hitting the family’s sedan last Friday in Caledonia.
Another daughter, six years old, survived the crash and has been released from the hospital. Ruohonen is also charged with intoxicated driving causing injury.
Relatives say the father and his two daughters were heading back home to Racine County after visiting family in Chicago for Thanksgiving.
