The Wisconsin Supreme Court is close to issuing an order in the case of a Germantown lawyer accused of refusing to discuss a client’s case unless she had sex with him.

The Office of Lawyer Regulation, in a complaint filed last year, accused Craig Vance of 23 counts of misconduct for behavior that included not communicating with six clients, not taking action on those clients’ cases, practicing with a suspended license and not cooperating with the OLR’s investigation into claims included in the complaint.

The OLR also alleges that Vance began a sexual relationship with a client after she had retained him and would not discuss details of her case unless she had sex with him.

The OLR is asking for Vance’s license to be suspended for 18 months, according to the complaint. The judges on Wednesday will decide whether to accept that recommendation.
