MADISON, Wis. (AP) — A Sun Prairie man has been ordered to have no unsupervised contact with his infant daughter after he was accused of leaving her in the car while he visited a tavern.

A town of Madison police officer discovered the 4-month-old girl in the parking lot of Pitcher’s Pub last weekend and broke a car window to remove the baby, who was not hurt.

Twenty-eight-year-old Brandon Kuenzli appeared in Dane County court Tuesday where he was ordered jailed on $1,000 bond. He’s charged with felony child abandonment.

The State Journal cites court documents which say Kuenzli told investigators conflicting stories about that night. A complaint says Kuenzli told police he was waiting at the bar for a friend to pick him up because he was too drunk to drive.

Court records do not list a defense attorney.
