GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) — A judge has sentenced a Green Bay man to 53 years in prison for the shooting death of a Howard man and the overdose death of a Coleman man.
Friends and family of Thomas Wick and Spencer Patz took the witness stand in a Brown County courtroom Friday to tell 31-year-old Matthew Moore what he had taken from them. Moore apologized to both families.
Moore pleaded no contest in March to reckless homicide in Wick’s death. Wick was shot four times in the basement of his house in 2012 in a dispute with Moore and Moore’s girlfriend, who were about to default on a home Wick was selling them.
Moore also pleaded no contest to reckless homicide in the 2013 death of Patz, who overdosed on painkillers Moore sold him.
