The Wisconsin Supreme Court will hold a public hearing for a Milwaukee lawyer who is asking for her license to be reinstated.
A hearing on Jane Edgar’s request for reinstatement is set for 10 a.m. Wednesday at Brown & Jones Reporting Inc., 735 N. Water St., Suite M185, Milwaukee. Any interested person may appear at the hearing and can support or oppose Edgar’s petition for reinstatement.
Edgar previously petitioned the court for reinstatement in 2010, but her petition was denied in 2012.
Edgar’s license to practice in Wisconsin was suspended in 1999 for mishandling client money and for lying that she had a trust account. The court also suspended her license retroactively in 2003 for misconduct, including failing to keep a client reasonably informed and failing to cooperate with an Office of Lawyer Regulation investigation.
