MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin Supreme Court hopeful Joe Donald is about to launch his first television ad.
The ad is slated to begin running in Milwaukee and Green Bay Tuesday. His campaign says the buy is worth $150,000.
The ad features white people and minorities in a jury box. Donald says in a voiceover that under the law all people are the same and politics don’t apply.
Donald, a Milwaukee County judge, faces Justice Rebecca Bradley and state appellate Judge JoAnne Kloppenburg in a Feb. 16 primary. The top two vote-getters will advance to the April 5 general election.
Kloppenburg’s campaign has spent at least $24,930 on television advertising that was set to begin Saturday in Milwaukee. Outside group Wisconsin Alliance for Reform has spent at least $234,660 on statewide ads supporting Bradley.
