MADISON, Wis. (AP) — A group of environmentalists has filed a lawsuit against the state Department of Natural Resources alleging the agency has delayed responses to record requests.
Midwest Environmental Advocates filed the lawsuit Monday in Madison. The lawsuit alleges the DNR hasn’t produced records in response to three requests, including a March request for wetland permits and wetland mitigation plans for seven sites around the state; a request in June for permit documents for two factory farms in Luxemburg; and a request in August for documents related to air pollution testing.
DNR spokespeople didn’t immediately respond to an email seeking comment.
