MILWAUKEE (AP) — A Milwaukee attorney accused of groping two employees of a private golf club is expected to plead no contest to two misdemeanors under a plea agreement that calls for no jail time.
The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports 59-year-old Christopher Hale faces two counts of lewd and lascivious behavior in connection with the incidents at River Club of Mequon.
Special prosecutor Jerilyn Dietz says she’ll recommend that Hale pay a “substantial fine,” which she believes that along with the case’s publicity and potential regulatory action against Hale’s law license will be a greater deterrent to Hale than any jail time.
Hale was arrested in August after an employee told police Hale had grabbed her breasts. Another woman later said Hale had inappropriately touched and kissed her the previous year.
Hale’s attorney, Michael Hart, says the agreement is “a reasonable resolution.”
