State Bar hosting first law, biotechnology conference

The Wisconsin State Bar is hosting its first event to bring together experts in science, business and law.

The Biotech and the Law Conference will be held from May 5-7 mainly at Monona Terrace in Madison, although some events will take place in other parts of the city, according to a news release.

The speakers will include representatives of the federal government, research universities, biotech businesses and legal scholars.

Those who attend will participate in hands-on science labs, listen to moderated discussions about global business in different industries and have the opportunity to earn continuing legal-education credits.

Early registration for the conference is open, and those who register before Jan. 1 will get a $200 registration discount. Visit for more information.
