The Wisconsin Supreme Court Hearing Room will get a new sound system over the holidays.
Preliminary work has started, and the new system is expected to be ready before oral arguments on Jan. 20, said Tom Sheehan, court information officer.
The audio and video systems in the hearing room were originally installed during the Capitol renovation about 15 years ago and are failing, said Sheehan.
The total cost of the project, including audio and video system components, integration and support services is $93,442. The Madison branch of Eden Prairie, Minn.-based AVI Systems Inc. is providing the equipment and installation service. Follow @erikastrebel
