WAUSAU, Wis. (AP) — A man shot by a Wausau police officer in August has pleaded not guilty to criminal charges.

Thirty-four-year-old Adam Radek of Tomah is being held on $10,000 cash bond. He’s charged with possessing a gun as a felon and possessing heroin with intent to deliver.

WJFW-TV says the Marathon County district attorney recently said the officer who shot Radek would not face any charges. DA Kenneth Heimerman says the officer shot Radek made a sudden move after refusing to drop his gun and show his hands.
