The Wisconsin Supreme Court is set to hear oral arguments in two cases this month.

On Nov. 9, justices will hear arguments in Walworth State Bank v. Abbey Springs Condominium Association Inc. The case involves a dispute between a condo association and the bank over whether the condo association may bar the couple, who bought a foreclosed condo, from using the home’s amenities until the couple pays back the condo fees that accrued after the bank bought the foreclosed condo.

The justices will also hear arguments Nov. 17 on a lawsuit filed filed by a group of parents whose children attend public school against Gov. Scott Walker over his administration’s power to regulate the state Superintendent of Public Instruction. In the case, Coyne v. Walker, the justices will also more specifically review whether Act 21, which requires all agency rules to be approved by the governor, is constitutional as applied to the superintendent, which is an independently elected position.

Oral arguments will start at 9:45 a.m. both days in the Supreme Court Hearing Room, 231 East, in the state Capitol.
