Rebecca Bradley takes spot on Wisconsin Supreme Court

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Rebecca Bradley has been sworn into office as a justice on the Wisconsin Supreme Court.

Court spokesman Tom Sheehan says Chief Justice Pat Roggensack administered the oath of office to Bradley on Monday morning, about an hour before the court heard oral arguments in a lawyer discipline case.

Bradley did not ask any questions during the arguments or make any comments after being introduced by Roggensack.

Bradley had been appointed to the court on Friday by Gov. Scott Walker to fill the remainder of Patrick Crooks’ term. He died in office last month.

Bradley had previously announced she was going to run for a full 10-year term to replace Crooks, who was not seeking re-election. Two other judges running for the seat did not seek the appointment that Bradley got.
