FOND DU LAC, Wis. (AP) — A Ripon man accused of hiding his brother’s body has been found competent to stand trial in Fond du Lac County.

Forty-five-year-old Robert Diamentis is accused of hiding his brother Richard’s body in a plastic barrel at their Ripon home. According to a criminal complaint, he hid the corpse for several months because he didn’t want people to think he was neglecting his brother, who had been bedridden.

A competency exam was ordered in June. Diamentis is due back in court Sept. 3.
