Friedman elected to high school board

Quarles & Brady Milwaukee partner James Friedman has been elected to the board of directors for Cristo Rey Jesuit Milwaukee High School. There are 30 Cristo Rey schools nationwide serving 9,800 students.

Friedman is a member of this firm’s Business Law Practice Group. He has provided legal counsel to clients for more than 40 years.

WHD names group leaders

Kate Bechen has been named a leader of Whyte Hirschboeck Dudek’s Emerging Companies Team and Thomas Gonzalez has joined Frank LoCoco as co-leader of the Product Liability Litigation and Risk Avoidance Team.

Lydia Chartre has joined Daniel Miske as co-leader of the Condominium and HOA Law Team, and Thomas Vance has been named leader of the Tax Exempt Organizations Team.

Phillip Bower has been named leader of the firm’s Environmental Law Team.

Lynda Templen and Michael Dahm have been named respective leaders of the firm’s Public Finance and Securities teams.

Michael Cronin and Thomas Pienkos have joined Gary Plotecher as co-leaders of the firm’s Intellectual Property Practice Group.

Donald Gallo and Thomas Heneghan have been named co-leaders of the Environmental Litigation Team.

Angela Black has joined Brad Dallet as co-leader of the firm’s Real Estate Practice Group.

Paul Karch has been named leader of the Agribusiness Team, and Eric McLeod has joined Timothy Posnanski as co-leader of the Real Estate and Eminent Domain Litigation Team.

Stephen Tumbush, Eric Hansch and Kevin Du have been named to the firm’s Corporate and Finance Practice Group in the Madison office.

Lisa Lawless has been named leader of the Appellate Team and Ross Anderson has joined Karen Tidwall as co-leader of the Business and Commercial Litigation Team.

Thomas Krukowski and Deborah Krukowski have also been named to the firm’s Human Resources Law Practice Group in the Milwaukee office.

Forty-nine Whyte Hirschboeck Dudek lawyers have been selected by their peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America list.

Michael Best’s Jones named group chair

Michael Best & Friedrich Partner Amy Schmidt Jones has been named chair of the firm’s Labor and Employment Relations Practice Group.

José Olivieri led the group for eight years.

Michael Best & Friedrich has announced that 82 attorneys have been selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America in 53 different areas of legal practice nationwide.

Stafford Rosenbaum welcomes new attorneys

Stafford Rosenbaum has added Jeffrey Mandell and Vanessa Wishart to the firm’s Madison office.

Mandell is a litigator with extensive trial and appellate experience in federal and state courts.

Wishart’s practice focuses on environmental law.

DeVougas elected chair of Milwaukee commission

Quarles and Brady’s Steven DeVougas, an attorney in the firm’s Product Liability Practice Group, has been elected to a one-year term as chair of the City of Milwaukee Fire and Police Commission.

DeVougas was appointed to the board as a commissioner in September 2013.

Mather, Pietruczak join Quarles practice groups

Rachel Mather has joined Quarles & Brady’s Milwaukee office in its Business Law and Real Estate Practice Groups.

She has worked on issues related to product liability, recalls, business non-competes, and drafting non-disclosure, supply, and distribution agreements.

Maciej (Matt) Pietruczak has joined the firm’s Milwaukee office in its Business Law Practice Group.

Pietruczak assists clients with business and corporate matters, including equity and debt financings, equity incentive plans and related agreements, corporate restructuring, and mergers and acquisitions.

Hupy and Abraham voted Top Choice law firm

Hupy and Abraham has won a Best Law Firm award in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel’s inaugural Top Choice Awards.

The firm has also been voted Best Personal injury Law Firm by popular vote on the A-List on WISN.com for three consecutive years and the Shepherd Express’ Best of Milwaukee poll for four consecutive years.

38 DeWitt attorneys named to Best Lawyers list

DeWitt Ross & Stevens, and its affiliate DeWitt Mackall Crounse & Moore, has announced that 38 lawyers from its Wisconsin offices were selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America list.

Seven of its attorneys also received the distinction of Lawyer of the Year in their respective practice areas for the region.

Calewarts, Zimmer named to O’Neil practice groups

John Calewarts and Paul Zimmer have been named to O’Neil Cannon Hollman DeJong & Laing practice groups.

Calewarts is a member of the firm’s Corporate Practice Group and assists clients in matters relating to business law, accounting, and the tax implications arising from business transactions.

Zimmer is a member of the Litigation Practice Group. He assists clients with prosecuting and defending a variety of civil litigation matters.

Reinhart’s Narrai named chief marketing officer

Reinhart Boerner Van Deuren has elevated Andrew Narrai to chief marketing officer.

Narrai joined Reinhart in 2014 and previously was the firm’s marketing director.

Foley’s Lochmann earns spot on Top 100 under 50 list

Foley and Lardner’s Jessica Lochmann Allen, a partner in the Milwaukee office, has been selected to Diversity MBA’s list of Top 100 under 50 Diverse Executive Leaders list for 2015.

The selectees are chosen from a pool of 300 nominees. Lochmann was the Wisconsin Law Journal’s 2014 Woman of the Year.

Gonzalez’s Wesley named as Park Bank new board director

Park Bank has appointed Gonzalez Saggio & Harlan’s Greg Wesley to serve on its board of directors.

Wesley is an equity partner at Gonzalez.
