MADISON, Wis. (AP) — A Madison man has pleaded guilty to charges of making threats and stalking for trying to extort women he met online to send him nude photos of themselves.
The Wisconsin State Journal reports 30-year-old Brett Beckwith pleaded guilty Monday, and several other charges were dismissed per a plea agreement.
According to a criminal complaint, Beckwith told Stoughton police in October that he used aliases to communicate with women through Facebook and the dating app Tinder to get nude photos.
The complaint says four women told police they gave him photos under false pretenses. They said they were “tortured” into giving him more because he threatened to send initial photos to friends, family and employers.
Beckwith is free on a signature bond.
