MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Attorneys for the conservative Wisconsin Club for Growth want state Supreme Court Justice Shirley Abrahamson to turn over records related to her communication with those involved in a secret investigation into whether Gov. Scott Walker’s 2012 recall campaign illegally coordinated with outside groups.

The Supreme Court halted the investigation in July, saying the campaign and 29 conservative groups did nothing wrong. Abrahamson wrote a dissenting opinion.

The open records request by the Club for Growth in part asks for communications between Abrahamson and the judge who oversaw the John Doe probe in the recall campaign. The special prosecutor has asked the Wisconsin Supreme Court to reconsider its July ruling and place it on hold, a move that signals he may take the case to the U.S. Supreme Court.
