BARABOO, Wis. (AP) — A Sauk County woman who authorities say buried her infant that died during birth in her family’s yard has pleaded guilty to concealing the death of a child.

The Wisconsin State Journal reports 33-year-old Brenda Bomstein of Lake Delton pleaded guilty Friday. Online court records say a sentencing hearing is scheduled for October.

According to the criminal complaint, Bomstein told investigators she gave birth in a bathtub at her parents’ home in Baraboo in October 2010, after learning about water births on cable TV. Prosecutors say she left the newborn in the tub to find a turkey baster to clear its airway, and the infant appeared to have died when she returned.

In May, authorities found the remains of a newborn in the backyard of a Baraboo trailer home after getting an anonymous tip.
