Gov. Scott Walker has appointed a replacement for Court of Appeals Judge Richard Brown, who retires Aug. 1.
Brian Hagedorn, chief legal counsel for the Office of the Governor, will fill Brown’s spot on the District 2 Court of Appeals, according to a statement released Friday.
Brown is retiring after 37 years on the bench.
Hagedorn has also been an assistant attorney general with the state Department of Justice, an attorney at Foley and Lardner and a state Supreme Court clerk. He graduated from the Northwestern University School of Law.
Hagedorn is a native of southeastern Wisconsin. He has a wife, Christina, and five children. Follow @erikastrebel
