MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin Supreme Court candidate Joe Donald has raised $109,000 in the opening weeks of his campaign for the race to be determined next spring.

Donald, a Milwaukee County circuit judge, reported the fundraising on Monday. He formed his campaign committee in mid-June and the report only covers the period through the end of that month.

State Appeals Court Judge JoAnne Kloppenburg is also running. Spokeswoman Melissa Mulliken says Kloppenburg loaned her campaign $25,000 and that was “about the extent of the report at this early date.”

Donald loaned his campaign $7,500 and he received the maximum $10,000 donations from four people.

Donald and Kloppenburg are seeking the seat currently held by Justice Patrick Crooks. Crooks has not said whether he is running for re-election.
