MADISON, Wis. (AP) — A 36-year-old Madison woman has been sentenced to five years in prison for her role in the 2014 death of a man from a drug overdose.
The Wisconsin State Journal reports Kathryn Dustin was accused of providing heroin to 32-year-old Joshua Hendrickson. She pleaded guilty in April to first-degree reckless homicide and was sentenced Monday.
Authorities say Hendrickson used heroin after meeting with Dustin and his cousin, Angel Hendrickson, in a Madison park-and-ride lot. A criminal complaint says the women tried to revive him but were unsuccessful, and drove him to Stoughton and left him in his pickup.
Angel Hendrickson was sentenced to three years of probation in April in connection with her cousin’s death.
