A former chairman of the Wisconsin Public Service Commission has joined the Madison office of Michael Best & Friedrich LLP.
Eric Callisto will be a partner on the firm’s Energy and Environmental teams, according to a news release. He will also work closely with Michael Best Strategies, the firm’s government relations and lobbying arm, in representing clients when Congress takes up energy-related legislation.
Callisto spent nine years with the PSC. He was a commissioner, chairperson and chief of staff. Before working for the PSC, he was assistant legal counsel for former Gov. Jim Doyle, administrator of the Wisconsin Department of Regulation and Licensing’s Division of Enforcement, and assistant attorney general with the Wisconsin Department of Justice. Callisto has also worked for the EPA and an environmental consulting firm.
He earned his law degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 1994. Follow @erikastrebel
