MILWAUKEE (AP) — Two men have been found guilty in the fatal shooting of a 21-year-old Milwaukee man.
The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports 34-year-old Jarmel Chisem and 37-year-old Howard Davis were charged as repeat offenders in the death of Raymond Harris Jr.
Both men were convicted Thursday of first-degree reckless homicide as parties to the crime and guilty of first-degree recklessly endangering safety as parties to the crime. They were acquitted of being felons in possession of a firearm.
Authorities alleged the men fatally shot Harris and wounded a 22-year-old man on June 6, out of retaliation for shooting Davis the previous summer.
Davis’ attorney suggested retaliatory violence was behind the Feb. 27 fatal shooting of his client’s mother, 56-year-old Lennair Davis.
Sentencing for Chisem and Davis is scheduled on May 8.
