MADISON, Wis. (AP) — A former University of Wisconsin football player and his twin brother are scheduled to plead guilty in federal court next month in a string of November robberies.

Twenty-nine-year-old Jack Ikegwuonu and his brother, William, are charged with robbing five businesses and brandishing a gun.

U.S. Attorney John Vaudreuil says the brothers are scheduled to plead guilty March 11.

Prosecutors allege the brothers robbed five businesses in Madison and Middleton from Nov. 14 to Nov. 26.

The brothers told police they committed the robberies to support their heroin use.

Jack Ikegwuonu played for the Badgers as a cornerback from 2005 to 2007. He was drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in 2008 and was active for one regular-season NFL game during the 2009 season.

William Ikegwuonu played football for Northern Illinois University in DeKalb.
