Tomahawk woman charged in 2003 homicide

Listen to this articleRHINELANDER, Wis. (AP) — A Tomahawk woman has been charged with 2003 death of Rhinelander man.
Forty-five-year-old Kenneth Wells was reported missing late in June of 2003. His body was found several days later in the Wisconsin River in Rhinelander.
WSAW-TV says a medical examiner ruled his death a drowning, however, prosecutors say Latoya Wolf came forward with information about Wells’ death in 2012. Wolf reportedly told investigators her husband at the time hit Wells over the head with rock because Wells owed him money for marijuana. She said her husband then rolled Wells’ body into the river.
Latoya Wolf remains in custody on a $100,000 cash bond. She’s been charged with first-degree intentional homicide and obstruction. Court documents do not list an attorney for Wolf.
