Now that Brad Schimel is taking over as attorney general, Gov. Scott Walker is looking for his replacement to be the Waukesha County district attorney.
Schimel, a Republican, easily beat Democratic Jefferson County DA Susan Happ in the election Tuesday. He will replace J.B. Van Hollen, who did not run for a third term.
Schimel has been the Waukesha County DA since 2006. His replacement will serve the remainder of the term and will have to run for office in November 2016.
Those interested should submit a cover letter, resume and three to four references. They can email the materials to [email protected].
