Applicants sought for La Crosse County bench

Gov. Scott Walker is seeking applicants for an appointment to the La Crosse County Circuit Court.

The appointee will replace outgoing Judge Dale Pasell, who plans to resign effective Nov. 21. He first was elected in 1999, and was last re-elected in 2011.

Pasell’s replacement would have to run for election in April, if he or she wants to stay on the bench.

Those interested are asked to fill out an application, which is available on Walker’s website. Complete application materials — including cover letter, resume, two writing samples and three to four references – should be emailed to [email protected].

Applications are due by 5 p.m. Nov. 7.
