Professional Responsibility — suspension

Where attorney Rebekah Mariya Nett received a one-year suspension in Minnesota, reciprocal discipline is appropriate.

“On March 19, 2014, this court issued an order directing Attorney Nett to show cause why the imposition of discipline identical to that imposed by the Minnesota Supreme Court would be unwarranted. Although Attorney Nett failed to file a timely response to the order to show cause, on May 6, 2014, she sent a letter to the OLR stating that she did not contest the OLR’s complaint.”

“Under SCR 22.22(3), in reciprocal discipline matters, this court shall impose the identical discipline unless one of the enumerated exceptions is shown. There is no indication that any of those exceptions apply in this case.”
